We have very many nice golf courses here in the Quad Cities both private and public. And they are very reasonably priced. The Tournament Players Club has a course at Deere Run in Silvis IL. Here is a link:

The local paper had a slide show with historical pictures of the construction of Lock and Dam 15 in Rock Island IL during the 1930’s. It is double lock.

Today we went to Trees and Traditions, a Christmas tree farm in Le Claire, and harvested our tree. It is just a couple of miles away, directly inland from our subdivision. Here are some photos of the event. Yes, there is snow in Iowa right now.
